Weird Bug trying to start MC5
 

I just got the trial of media composer 5....coming from a PPRO background and previously avid express

I cannot even see a splash screen when starting...all i get is the title bar for MC and for the activation page.....just the title bar....no program window or GUI
I will include screen shot

I am running an nvidia quadro 2000 and 12gb ddr3 on a 4core i7...

Just hoping someone could shed some light on this...

ps...are the official avid forums always screwed up?
every time i try to log in i get an error message??

Hi Mike

I've no idea what is wrong.

All I can say is that I've never had a problem accessing the Avid forums.

You should probably try again. This could be too specialised for DV Info.

ya i eventually got into the avid forums....
something to do with cookies in my browser

they are pretty helpful there but to no avail yet :(

I know your post has been a while back but this is what I found out:

I just tried to install MC5.5 on OSX 10.6.7 and found out it does not run on that, you need 10.6.6...
