AVID Xpress Pro HD and EX1
 
Is anyone editing Sonly PMW-EX1 footage with AVID Xpress Pro HD? If so, can you share insights into any issues, problems, learnings you have experienced. I am considering purchasing the EX1, but want to uncover any potential hiccups prior to dropping >$8k

It's not supported as of yet, but avid is "supposedly" working on it. There are work-arounds that people are using. There's a bunch of threads about is over at the forums at avid.com for more info.

Avid supports the 25Mb XDCAM EX codec.

It's quite slow if you want DNxHD 160 and the file size is huge after conversion.
