The main reason you cant see stuff that is miles away is because of the atmosphere, of course it depends on where you are in the world and how much moisture is in the air, but if the earth was flat and you were standing on a big hill you wouldnt just be able to see for ever.

Eventually, you'll hit the clipping plane...and the distance fog will cover it up...unless the bounding box is actually a box, then you can see farther out of the corner of your eyes.

Wow, I just watched the Big Foot video, and man, that would take a long time to stabilize.

I personally believe that Big Foot is real, and that he/it is out there there somewhere.
