Canon Germany announced the 1DX due at the end of April 2012 at an MSRP of 6299 Euros, 8459 U.S., dont panick. . The price I figure to be around $ 6978 U.S. I derived it throught this logic. Their price list suggest the 5D MK II at 2449 euro which would be 3025 U.S. ( their taxes , VAT, shipping, whatever actually causes their increase.) Using the same ratio to reduce their 5D II dollar price to our MSRP of 2499, 3025 x .825 = appx $2490 would make their dollar 1DX 8459 = $6770. Maybe I could have just said 2449 euro equals 2499 U.S. street price but I was afraid it might not work out right. Anyway, fuzzy math and google translation is the reason it is in area 51.
