Hi, I'm filming a wedding Friday (my first), and a friend has offered me his new sony HD handycam. I accepted, since two cameras are always better than one, but is there anything I should know about adjusting settings on either camera to make the footage more compatible and comparable? Pushing any colours on the GL2? I'll obviously be filming in SD rather than HD.
Thanks ahead of time...

Practice as much as you can with the new camcorder before the shoot. It may be better to shoot the Sony in SD, but experiment first, compare the colors and make any adjustmets to preset if you have time.

I would definitely put the GL2 in 16x9 aspect ratio mode. I recently did a multicam shoot doing this, then I captured the GL2 footage in FCP and exported (upconverted) the footage to HDV. Then I imported *that* footage into my FCP HDV project and intercut it with footage from my HV20 camera. Worked well, actually.
