I really didnt grow up with the Westerns... so, war movies eh....

The Thin Red Line - gorgeous to watch, gets better every time i see it. plus my favorite soundtrack of all time :)

Tigerland - Lots of new talent, gritty and raw. Love the look and story.

Black Hawk Down - Hella fun to watch

I like an old war film WHERE EAGLES DARE....it has the best music intro on a war film....that flying over mountains and then music gradually getting louder and louder as plane gets nearer gets u really pumped up! The the music soars as the plane barely passes over the mountain peak...before coming back down to normal as the plan engine comes to normal.. If you havent seen it...see it, its a great classic bit of cinema and not an inch on computer generated graphics or computer generated music!!!!!
