Would this matte box work with the Xl-H1? It's a long shot, cause it's inexpensive, but I was just wondering if any of you dudes knew if the two were compatible. Thanks

It should work - it (the filter stage) doesn't rotate though... That's usually an important consideration.. they make another one that does, with rods, but it's twice as much and may not fit the H1 (Canons have a screwy off-center base)...

I agree...probably will work but....WOW...will the camera be front heavy. it already is...but when I hand hold my H1...at least I can grab the mattebox rods..to help stabalize the camera.
