Well, at least it feels like I stole it. I won it on eBay for a measy $405.00 and it came with a Tiffen Haze 1 filter. So far both the lens and filter seem in mint condition; the glass on both are flawless.
I don't know why it sold for so low, maybe it's because the seller's history was so low, and no body wanted to risk it. Maybe because the auction ended at a bad time in morning on a week day, when most are just starting work and can't mess around on the internet, checking their bids.
I didn't even snipe the the thing. I, too, had to go to work on a job and I left my highest bid a $500 thinking there was no way I'd win; the thing usually sells between $650-$850. But when I came home later that night, I was utterly suprised to see that not only did I win, but I got it for $100 less than I than my maximum bid. Crazy.
Anyway it didn't come with manual so I'm wondering if there are any important things I should know about the lens. Perhaps some back focus tips?
Thanks.
