Anyone tried the HD100 with A/B battery attached on a Glidecam 4000 (with the vest)?

Stephen Hall July 24th, 2007, 04:02 PM Anyone tried the HD100 with A/B battery attached on a Glidecam 4000 (with the vest)? I have an HD100, Glidecam 4000 and the Smooth Shooter vest with the IDX battery system. While I haven't used it on a 'real' shoot, yet, I practiced with it and the results look good -- especially considering that I'm not an experienced stabilizer user. Once I got the hang of it, I could make shots that looked plausibly like dolly shots. Stephen H Nima Taheri July 24th, 2007, 06:17 PM stephen: so the HD100 isn't too heavy for the Glidecam 4000? On my rig, arm is extended to all the way down to the bottom if I let go of it. David Scattergood July 27th, 2007, 05:55 AM Is this one of the cheaper glide/steadicam options? I'd really love to get my hands on one of these - any UK users? Chad Terpstra July 27th, 2007, 07:53 AM Every glidecam I've tried with my setup (and I think it includes the 4000) has bottomed out at the max resistance on the arm. I'm also using the Brevis adapter with rails and Nikon lenses so that didn't help the situation. I'd imagine the bare camera with pro batts stands a chance though. |
