Lately it has been raining a lot, so it was natural to use the rain to create my video about water.

Parts of the video was shot through the window from my living room because I didn't want to expose the camera to the heavy rain.

A short clip where a rain drop hits a blade of a flower, the speed of the clip is reduced to 5%!! Still not slow enough to see everything that happens, but I think it came out good anyway.

I think you music was perfect for you clip!! I liked it all. If I were to critic at all it would be the leaf scenes werre a bit to long. they were very nice to be certain.

Rain falling is a beautiful thing to portray if you're lucky enough to have it last long enough. I really liked the soul soothing quality of what you got shooting through the window, it worked very well.

Nicely done. And you said you were going to get into After Effects after uwol3 and you did with your title! How fun! You have a way of making such soothing and inviting films. The super slow motion of water droplets and rain was very intriguing.

Beautiful film! The only thing that took me out of it was the title. You had such beautiful footage, I wish you would have had a title that didn't compete with it.

Man, a slow fade in with a simple title and it would have been off to the races!

Very relaxing, soothing piece. The music worked hand in hand with the imagery.
There was a little bump going form the slow motion raindrop ( which was awesome ) to the live motion. Smooth that out and I bet it looks even better. I liked your first going into slow motion better because it was allot smoother transition.

Very peaceful, I feel like I'm rested now. :)

The waterfall at :50 sounds really tinny. Is this from compression?

I really loved the slowed water drops and the slow soft focus toward the end!!!! Very good compilation.

nice work trond....the flow worked perfectly for me, i did find the leaf scene a bit long however the music carried me through that section.

overall i liked it.

I agree with the title comment...sometimes if you are not careful titles can come out a bit cheezy. Better sometimes to stick with basic stuff...on the other hand I know how fun it is to make something like that on your own video.

I really enjoyed your little film and my favorite shot was that of the leaves with the rack focus. Nice job...I am a sucker for rack focus

I think this is a much better film then you delivered in uwol3.
Much more variation of scenes and the choice of music is fine.
Also your way of editing has improved since uwol3.

a nice entry with lots of variation. If you don't mind I have a few comments:
at 0:50 the small waterflow, I think you have used a very high shutter speed on this one dont't like the stutter effect it gives, the sound is also very metallic.
starting at 1:46, this scene of the leaf is too long I think, you could had a close-up shoot of the water drop on the leaf at the end in stead.

But this is just minor comments. Your film was very nice with nice music too!

I enjoyed the very relaxing feel of your movie, sort of like being indoors in front of the fire while the rain pours outside - probably your great choice of music brought this out in me.
I do agree with Per on the lengthy shot of the water falling on the leaf and also noticed the colour/Gamma change at 1.35? I probably would have left out the plastic table - as I felt it broke the beautiful natural images you displayed so well. However, I am being very picky here as overall, I did like your movie and it's very soothing feel.

I just came back from a week hiking in the mountains here in Norway, so hopefully I can watch all of your videos and give my comments the next few days.

The sound of the waterfall at 0:50 do sound metallic. Nothing has been done in post with the sound. And the original file has the same sound as the compressed version.
It was some wind (about 10-15mph) when I recorded it, and shame on me, I didn't monitor the sound during recording.
Maybe this is the reason?
EDIT: After thinking a bit about this... The water hit some rocks pretty hard just below the frame. This can have caused the "metallic/thin" sound.
Any other good ideas to what might have caused this sound?

I was wondering if I should include the water falling on the white plastic table. But I wanted to show the intensity of the rain, and that's why I included it. I agree the table doesn't really fit in with the rest of the film.

I really liked the slow motion drops hitting the water, a wonderful image. and the raindrops on the leaves were magical. This was a very nice film.
