I'm trying to find some prebuilt widescreen mattes for Vegas. None of the Vegas filters seem well suited for this. Event Pan/Crop is not what I want (I want to apply it on master video track as simple, hopefully fast to render effect).

What are others doing? (e.g. shot 16:9 with 2.35:1 crop on LCD). Output to DV tape 4:3 with 2.35:1 matte).

Are you just looking to letterbox? If so try Zenote Letterbox on the Video Output FX.
