I struggle with editing and was wondering if this sequence is considered standard practice, or if other do it differently. If I am missing some steps, please fill in. I use Vegas and work mostly with instructional videos, but I assume the NLE and content wouldn't matter. Thanks.
1. Capture (Duh!) and label clips
2. Rough cuts and assembly of clips
3. Lock audio to video.
4. Normalize audio
5. Add transtions
6. Titles, graphics, and overlays
7. Music
