It's time to admit this... I'm not God's gift to the world of color correction :(

I shot a birthday party on my old DV camera (finally got a DVX now). The footage came out fine but I was having a problem with my LCD, so I didn't get to white balance properly.

Everything looks a bit... greenish. Here's a cap:

Any ideas on how to tackle this?

It will take you about 10 seconds to fix this with your 3 way color corrector.

Hi Joe and welcome to DVinfo! Have you read the section of the FCP manual about color correction? It's actually quite good and has several examples you can work through. It's found in volume 3 chapter 20. But instead of reading the hardcopy, start up FCP and access the full manual using the Help menu. The examples start on page III-448. The advantage of going this route is that the photos are all in color while the printed manual is black and white.

(Caveat: I'm still on FCP 5, page numbers might be different on different versions)

You can de-saturate the highlights if WB doesn't quite get there. Use the desaturate highlights plugin or the 3-way CC (+limit range).
