Hello,
I need to choose a lens working at the top for Macro works with the H1...
Any suggestions? What about the 16x auto or manual versionson the H1?
Or does anyone experienced the 100mm 1:1 with adapter?
Any sample shots about insects or...?
Thanks for help.. so much...
Gabriele

All Canon XL and XL HD lenses have macro capability built in. Remove the lens hood, zoom out to full wide. You can now focus on objects within 10mm or 20mm of the front of the lens.

Gabriele,
Go to the "Under Water/Over Land" forum and look at my post, "Some Macro Fun". Also you might get a better response asking this group you questions, since it more dedicated to wildlife and nature.

Gabriele,

I use a Canon 180/3.5 macro lens with the H1. Superb sharpness and contrast. Just a note that I downloaded the presets on a sticky in this H1 forum and use the recommended EOS preset to boost the contrast. It has significantly improved the look of my footage.

That said, the Sigma 150/2.8 is a superb performer for nature photographers and should work well for you as its much cheaper and smaller...which MAY negate the need for a long lens support. Im using the Redrock micro long lens support and it works and is needed.

Cheers
