Hi, in a couple of weeks, I'm going to shoot some scenes for a school/center specialised in helping children with learning difficulties. Basically it comes down to observing the kids while all sorts of situations are created in the classroom, and see how they respond to it. I'll be shooting with my XL2 and AT4073a boom mic and I'm also responsible for the editing and final delivery on DVD, which also includes a owerPoint presentation. The guy who runs the place has asked me to name my price. I could use some help, since I haven't got a clue on how much to ask. It's gonna be my first paid assignment, so I definitely don't want to be expensive. On the other hand, I have invested a lot of money in, according to me, decent and high quality equipment, which I can handle well. It would be nice to finally see that investment pay off. So, my question is, what's an honest price for this job? I live in Belgium, but don't hesitate to answer if you're not from Europe, it's always nice to compare! Thanks!

dont underbid at all. One of the worst things you can do is grossly underbid your project to the point that it costs you more to do it than your getting paid. I did this on a project a couple of months ago and I am still regretting it! I charge $150 per hour for commercial work, and my new policy is that I will charge $100-125 per hour for non profit work. So far no complaints.
