Does anyone know if the VX2000/2100 will playback DVCAM (from the PD150) tapes for capture? To save me hireing a deck for a few hours!

Yep it will play it back just fine. Actually any sony mini dv camera or deck will playback sony's DVCAM just fine.

In fact I use an old sony trv-9 (1998) single chip camera to play back mini tapes shot DVCAM mode in a full size sony 570!!
