Initially this was just conceived as a quirky way to open the wedding film but when the couple saw it they said they wanted to show it at the reception.

It's very, very silly and they love it. Take a look for yourselves to see a couple very much up for taking the mikey out of themselves!

Hehe :D, that was great, I particilar liked the slowmo and fastforward shot when he's drinking his beer and she is going through all magazines. I understand why the couple wanted in on their reception, this is much more fun then an average weddingtrailer with the highlights. Some time ago I was asked to edit some footage about the couple which had been made by friends. The footage and sound was awfull in quality but it was very funny. I only wished they had also asked me to shoot that part. When you do many weddings you are happy to get some "silly" stuff like this now and then.

Nice shooting and editing...but the ending didn't fit the rest of the piece. I was expecting some sort of pratfall. Oh well, all's well that ends well.

This will go over very well at the reception. Especially since the B&G seemed to be totally on board with it.

Well done. Did you approach them with script ideas, or did they have the shot ideas? Or, was it all improved the same day (since her dress doesn't change)?

Great work.

it went down very well, they showed it twice. Kind of odd filming people's reaction to a film I made.

What a great couple and what a great edit. Brilliant work! Lots of fun to watch, as I'm sure you noticed when the guests watched it.

Cheers. Am in the middle of editing the actual film. It's looking good, I will probably post some bits on here when it is looking polished enough.

Got some quite beautiful timelapse, some of the most stunning I have ever captured.

Problem I had was I felt the bride was too stressed about the whole day running properly that she forgot to actually enjoy herself, therefore not that many smiling shots!!

here is a little clip of some of the location shots from the wedding venue in the South of France. Just a few shots stuck together to some music that features in the film. The first three shots are used together as a chapter heading the last two for a later chapter heading

Phil, how do you produce the timelaps images? I don't have any experience in that but it looks like a very cool effect, do you just push "record" on your camera and let it run for an hour and speed it up in your nle or does the camera have a function to record some frames every minute or so?

yes you can do that. But of course you end up with hours of footage! Ideally you need a non tape based camera. Be it an xdcam hd or HVX200. I set interval record for 1 frame every second

I was wondering about the footage were you see that village against the mountain, were those clouds real? I mean it looked like the clouds had been added later because it looked somehow unreal.

all real!!!!

Really? Pff, I have to move to another country, In Belgium we don't have landscapes and clouds like that. For a silimar effect I have to use one of Andrew kramers tutorials and you just get it all in real time. :)
