SDI or component? Alister Chapman July 13th, 2007, 06:44 AM My experience of component is that you get noticeable loss at high frequencies beyond 75m (225 ft) even with low loss cable. Cable compensation would help. SDi being digital will go much further with no visible degradation, but eventually you will find it simply wont work at all.
