Hi dvinfoers
I have an event to shoot on July 14th at the Living Arts Centre in ON Canada (not that everyone knows it) it is a very nice venue. The event is a stage event, so different coloured lights will be involved. I believe that the white balance has to be done first then the preset has to be applied. I also don't want to UP the gain I'd rather leave it at 0 because then you start to see noise. What would the setting for shutter and aperture be?

This is the link to the photos from last years show - another videographer shot last year and I saw alot of noise in his video.

with the right presets you shouldn't get much noise by boosting the gain, i can go as high as +12 when filming a dark concert and i have no noise. i use the documentary setting. and i believe the sharpness levels are down and the coring levels are up. which helps in reducing noise.
