Hi All,
I have 7 minutes footage that I like to put up on Youtube.
What is the best way to compress it in Vegas?
Thanks
Matthew

on a clip that long I convert my mpeg2 to a mov. file, an mpeg2 might load but most likely too large of a file.

You'll generally find that YouTube likes 1Mpbs mp4 better than it likes WMV.
The rule we use here, is that if it has lots of gradient in it, MP4 is significantly better. If it has lots of contrasting areas/blocked color areas, 1Mbps WMV works slightly better.
Unfortunately, all encodes are not created equal.
Also, reduce color saturation by about 10% and you'll get a slightly better encode.

Good advice. By the way, enjoyed your Vegas 6 book, even though I have Vegas 7. It was a good purchase.
