View Full Version : Ouch: Microsoft to spend $1 billion fixing Xbox 360s! Heath McKnight July 5th, 2007, 11:03 PM http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070705/D8Q6NLV80.html Wow, that's a lot. I wonder if Sony will have to got through this. heath Josh Bass July 6th, 2007, 01:08 AM Yeah, it's a problem. I didn't even play mine that much, and one day, it froze, and that was it. Had to send it in. It's been fine since, so cross your fingers. When it works, it's good times, and there's a slew of games coming out that look like winners. Paulo Teixeira July 6th, 2007, 09:30 AM A lot of people been quoting around 30% of all units being defective and Microsoft never gave an actual number saying it’s irrelevant as long as their willing to fix those units for free. The PS3 on the other hand doesn’t have any problems at all. The PS2 is a different story because a lot of the first batch units were defective although it was only for a short period of time and the 360 been out for around a year and a half and people are still reporting that their units needs to be fixed. I wish I had the actual number for defective PS2s. |
