Here's the deal...
Asked to shoot a documentary. I had a brand new V1U and shot in 24pA. The final output will be a standard DVD.
First, was it a mistake to use 24pA since a DVD is 29.97?
Second, how do I ingest the footage into FCP? I read the article at digitalcontentproducer by Steve Mullen. Is that the way to go or do I stick with what I have and not do reverse telecine?
If it's the latter, I could really use a nice resource for capturing since everything I'm working with is new (V1U, Mac, FCP2, Sony Deck, etc). It may of not been the smartest idea to buy a whole bunch of new stuff and learn it on the fly, but that's my situation and I want to make it work.
Thank you for any and all help.
