Has anyone experienced the following problems with their FX1?

1) Looks like it records video, but upon playback it only shows a blue screen with a blinking timecode. This error comes up randomly. Sometimes it records, sometimes it doesn't.

2) Dimmer than normal video.

First one is for sure malfunction, hope you still have a warranty,
second one, I'd check if the camera with the darker picture uses any picture profile,

Hey Buba,

On the second video, I too encountered the same problem with my FX1s at my last wedding. One of camera's LCD would be dimmer than the other camera. I tried adjusting everything like you did but no luck. However when I ingested the video into my harddrive earlier this week, I didn't see any difference in the video quality. Plus I noticed when I unplugged the battery completely from the camera and put it back on shortly, it works better again. Hmmm let me know what you find out on the problem. and I am thinking about sending it into Sony for serving but I still have few more weddings before I do that later this year.

i've never experienced those problems i'm afraid, but why don't you move this thread to an FX1-related one to ask others, if you haven't tried that?
