Here's an interesting thing we learned with our web series: When using Sorenson Squeeze to create Flash videos, the software crushes the blacks by 9%. That may be great for high-gain scenes with a noisy camera, but it's terrible for dark, dramatic video.

We solve the problem by rendering one version to AVI normally, and then re-mastering with a 9% brightness lift and 9% contrast reduction (so we don't clip). Running it through Squeeze looks just like the original (from a level standpoint).

We shoot 16x9. The resolution is 480 x 270.
