I got a question, please someone help. I had the previous version of final cut, which is 5.1.4 and in that version, whenever i wanted to import footage from my HVX id just go to Import and choose P2 Panasonic...

BUUUUT, HERE IS THE BAD THING. In final cut 6, i cannot find it. So, is there no way to import images from HVX???

Can anyone tell me? because if not, ill sell my new final cut studio 2 for five bucks

Log and Transform ( I think), right under Log and Capture - drag folder from harddrive to the window and select the files you want.. works great..

I'm interested as well. I only tried for a few minutes to test import .mxf files a few days ago but also I noticed the lack of File>import>Panasonic P2 menu option as well. I tried seeing if it simply worked using File>import>files
but no dice. As I haven't had my hands back on the 6 yet, I haven't been able to figure it out either.
Anybody have the magical solution?

Do you have to reinstall P2 Drivers?

The HVX works just fine with FCP6. No need to reinstall the drivers.

P2 Import is now called Log and Transform

Does anyone know of a work around to bring footage in if you don't have the XML data? Somehow we have the audio and video files, but the data folders weren't copied over to DVD and it won't recognize the files based on 'directory hierarchy'.

Raylight for Mac can do it
