Okay this is silly, but do you need to save a frame and import it to Project Media to freeze motion? That seems awkward. Is there a better way?

Insert velocity envelope, set velocity to 0.

Thanks Glen. You should write for their 'Help' section. ;o) I knew there had to be an easier way.

for longer than I care to admit, I did the "save image" thing for freeze frame.

Then a while back someone one this site set me straight...

Just think how much time I would have saved if I had actually read the manual.

Don't worry about it, there's lots of stuff in Vegas that isn't obvious. Like split, roll, and slide edits [not sure if Vegas calls the last two items roll and slide].
