Hey guys, I have a 24" lcd that ways probably about 15lbs. I want to use it as a field monitor for my A1. I'm trying to figure out the best way to support it. I was thinking of using a light stand and mounting some type of articulating arm to it but am unsure of how to attach it to the light stand. Anybody know of a special lcd arm that mounts to lighstands/tripods or a specific "lightstand-like" lcd stand? or just have any better ideas?

I use a 24" DELL HD Monitor in a custom Aluminum case to be able to flip the monitor for using the M2 adapter. Here is the pic. (It's not a close up sorry)

I would try a DIY approach!!

hey dave, that looks interesting. Can it somehow be mounted at eye level like on a tripod or something.

Cal,

I have not tried that. I think the weight is to much. I had it built to a 45 degree angle so I could set it anywhere. Mostly I use a table on set.

This one is priced a little better:

I think I may end up going this route unless someone finds something less expensive.

Go for the Delvcam monitor stand. I have it with my Dell 24" and with the shooting we do a real stand was necessary. And at 80 bucks it's a no-brainer.

Go to markertek.com and search for delv-lcd1
I'm not on a computer right now but otherwise I'd link it.

I saw that but it said "up to 20" lcd" so i didn't think it would work. But you use it with your 24" eh? no problems?
