Just posted this on the Canon XHA1 page but i may get a better response here.
Next weekend i'm shooting a wedding for some friends with my A1. Its a freebie (my wedding gift to the couple in fact) and they are adamant that it should not get in the way of my enjoyment of the event, so not much pressure. Nonetheless i want to do a professional job as fee paying work could come of it.
The groom has a Sony Z1 and will bring it along as a second camera to be locked off on a tripod most of the time i imagine. I'll be shooting the bulk of it with my Canon.
I have 3 questions:
Is it advisable to shoot interlaced with the A1 since the Z1 does not do 25 Progressive?
Will i be able to capture the Z1 tapes into FCP 6 through my A1?
If i decide to use 25p on the Canon, and 1080i on the Sony will i be able to edit in FC6 using the new timeline options that come as part of the new upgrade?
Thanks for your help.
