If I'm filming someone I want to look their very best, are there any suggestions for customizing the HV20's picture. There is that one skin tone setting, but maybe one of you pro's has come up with a better look in teh custom settings.

Wanting to film in front of a bluescreen I've noticed that with the setting I have the contrast of skin with dark blue screen is causing problems, the skin looking a bit washed out.

I have a feeling this ain't gonna be easy.

best,
elmer

Not sure how this will work with a blue screen behind you but if you set the white ballance with something blue infront of the camera it will make the skin look very warm. (less pale)

As Chad sez, go to your local hardware store and find some off-white paint colour chips to set the white balance by. I have some examples of playing around with the effect in my little Canon SD300 here (http://flickr.com/photos/aplumb/sets/72157600010276983/).
