I get a green render bar on my multiclip editing session in FCP.

Why is there a need to render footage that is already native to the timeline settings?

Colors mean managing unrendered footage. Personally, I like no color bars on any footage. So I render a lot. Pays off when it comes time to export during normal working hours.

FCP manages unrendered footage rather well, but it really shines if you render everything when your take a break.

In any case, do not export any way until you have rendered everything.

I apologize for the lame explanation. Too fuzzed out after too many hours in front of the monitor.

Did you try "Collapse Multiclip"? Multiclips will need to be rendered unless you collapse them. To do this, right clip on the clip or clips, or use the Modify menu.
