Hey all,

I'm using FCP5.1.4 right now and for some reason, color keying / blue & green keying / chroma keying is not working. I am just trying to key out some color of a still image... not even motion footage.

I've done this before without a hitch when I was on FCP 4.5. All of a sudden, it will not respond.

More info: I was using MacOS 10.4.9 but thought this may be the issue and reverted to 10.4.8. Still no luck.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

On the timeline, just make sure that the playhead is resting on the image your trying to correct.

The playhead is resting on the image in the timeline. I do feel it's more of a technical error, but can't figure out what. The effect is on, the tab is checked, all that.

Try trashing out you preference then.

I did that too. I did all the little things that I was supposed to do, that is why it is frustrating. So, I've been on the message boards seeing if anyone has encountered this and offer me their wisdom.
