All right, I'll try not to make this confusing (but will probably fail).
I need to change the speed of a whole bunch of different portions of clips. I need it so each move matches the beat of the music (I've set markers... about 600 of them :-$)
Later, I'm gonna razor cut about 600 portions of my clip and resize them all to match the music. So, like 14 frames into 5 frames... then 30 into 9... then 5 into 10 -- depends on where the markers are.
On Sony Vegas, you can hold down the Ctrl key, resize a clip, and it'll speed up the clip by how much you resized it -- it's called rubberbanding. For example, if you have a 2 second clip and rubberband it (ctrl-resize) it to 1 second, it'll adjust the speed to 200%.
Is there a similar feature on FCP or do you have to do it by hand? Is there a better way to do this?
