Here's a little short I did for school with my new A1. I used the vivid rgb setting. Still getting the hang of everything.

I typically cringe when I see a YouTube link... Thanks for converting to flv before uploading... It's nice to see quality on youtube.... Good vid...

actually, its just a QT with mpeg compression. Converting to flv is a good idea though. Too bad I don't have software to do that. Any suggestions for MAC?

Huh... I wonder if Youtube changed their standards...? Normally when you upload anything except an flv they re-compress the file down to something that looks horrible.... That seemed to be pretty descent quality... As far as an flv conversion goes you may try Sorenson Squeeze http://www.sorensonmedia.com/pages/?pageID=2

Nah, it's always said that. FLV is still preferable.
If you upload an FLV it's instantly available. It's not re-encoded to conform to the standard bitrate, which means you can get better quality if you want. (Some users might complain that they can't stream like they're used to)

Yeah I've always uploaded MPEG4 videos to youtube and I haven't really seen any major problem with them. Here's a video I made with my little Panasonic PV-GS250 that I made during Christmas. I thought it looked fine for DV video on youtube.

Jobs: “Yeah, YouTube—of course. But you don’t need to have Flash to show YouTube. All you need to do is deal with YouTube. And plus, we could get ‘em to up their video resolution at the same time, by using h.264 instead of the old codec.”

This portion of Jobs' plan came true with the Youtube addon for Apple TV which will require Youtube to convert their catalog of videos into the h.264 format.

Taken from http://www.macrumors.com/2007/06/12/no-flash-support-on-the-iphone/
So Youtube could be getting better at quality, and I'd personally love being able to play regular formats with Flash instead of havng to make those flv's.
