I already have 2 books, digital video for dummies(great book) and the little digital handbook or something. What's a great book to buy that is a step above these ones? I have a bunch of tapes that need editing, I haven't even started, so I guess a book that gets into that and also another filming book of some kind. I'm a beginer obviously, but want to better my skills ten fold. What do you think is a good book or books to get me rolling?

Lisa,
Among the books I have on the subject of digital video my favorite one is "The Digital Filmmaking Handbook," the second edition, by Ben Long and Sonja Schenk. It is 575-page book that covers all three stages of video production (pre-production, production and post-production) in a very comprehensive way. Moreover, it comes with a DVD that has demo versions of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop, and 100 pages of additional essays and articles on digital filmmaking, from writing to music supervision. The book costs about $78CAN.
I found it to be an excellent book for the beginner.
