I am using an xl2 with a laptop connected and DV rack running...i am recording to tape and the laptop....this is what I need to do...
I have the files on my computer from dv rack which have the timecode of the tape so if I ever loose those files I can recapture with easy....my client needs me to export the uncompressed dv footage to quicktime and make sure the timecode stays the same as the tape...
this is because they wish for me to upload the quicktime mov files to the net so they can start editing while I mail them the tape and uncompressed footage....
I need to make sure that the quicktime files have the same timecode as the tape and uncompressed footage so that when they go to capture the high quality footage or use the uncompressed video files
...the timecode is not different than the quicktime mov files and everything from their edit with the quicktime files are the same and on snyc..
please help...i need this by today and I apologize for the messege for I am typing this on my cell phone.
thanks, mike
