Just a thought, maybe Cineform could make this part of HD link?
Your codex works great for editing, HD link works great for HD to SD, why not take it one more step and add a transcoder for DVD files that can be imported into Encore. (or other dvd authoring apps without further compression).
It would make Cineform your one stop shop for video formats......

That is a really good idea!! Bluray and HD-DVD ready mp2 and mp4 would be perfect! Flv wouldn't be bad either.
