DAVID,

Based on your knowledge. Could you provide any details on Quality difference
between HDMI and HD SDI ingested footage from a SAME SOURCE origin ?

If compared / What is the difference percentage wise and why ?

Your personal opinion in this matter will be highly appreciated.

Happy / Cineform user.

If you source is 8-bit (and all the AVCHD and HDV cameras are 8-bit even over HDSDI/HDMI) then there is no quality difference. 1920x1080 4:2:2 8-bit is the same over both connectors.

David,

Thank you for the fast response, I think it's the huge difference in price
implementing HDMI vs HD SDI in your workflow that's haunting me.

The price for our software is the same whether you use HDMI or HDSDI. However the cards are more expensive for HDSDI, yet now you are also talking 10-bit export to standard professional equipment and decks, then HDSDI is in its own class.

David,

Thanks / Straight answers = Straight business.

I'll go for the Xena Card.
