Been out of this hobbie for awhile. I have vegas 7 with dvd architect. What are my options in getting that edited m2t file and authoring it to BR disc. Can I do it with dvd architect? I have heard some authoring tools out there but I am comfortable with dvd architect.

Not sure but don't you have to have a specific Blue Ray burner before you can burn to one of those?

If dvd architect would be able to do this I was thinking of picking up Sony's or Pioneer's external BR burner.

You'll have to look elsewhere as the most DVDA can currently do is dual layer :-(

For $1000 or less you can get a drive with the needed software. You can do all the editing in vegas, create a finished file, and then import it into the BR authoring software to be encoded and burned. You'll have to learn some new software, but the reviews I've read have said that it's all pretty straight forward on the authoring end of it.

What you have in mind? Also will I be able to import other completed Vegas projects over?
