I really need an external lcd for cheap. Im talkin $50-$60. Is there anyway I can use a portable dvd monitor or something, if so, what stats do I have to look for to get a really good image?

Hi Tatsuya. Unfortunately your desire for "cheap" and "really good image" are in conflict with each other :-) Are you shooting 4:3 or 16:9? Most DVD players have 16:9 screens today, and your video may be stretched out of shape if you're shooting 4:3. If you want to go that route though, just be sure the unit has AV inputs. It should come with an AV cable that will provide an RCA plug you can connect to your camera's composite output.
Awhile ago I got a little LCD TV with AV input for about $100 at Best Buy, they might have something. Also look in their auto AV dept, they should have some extension screens designed for DVD players. You would need to concoct some sort of a power supply however.
Otherwise, delvcam and ikan make some relatively inexpensive screens, but maybe not as cheap as $50... probably more like $100. Try a google search for more info.
