What is the best way to down convert my 1080 24F footage to Standard Definition? I have Vegas, but when I down convert to SD, the footage stutters and has a horrible motion blur to it.

Mike Dulay May 19th, 2007, 05:19 PM You can try steve's 24p pulldown to get rid of the interlace blur. To retain the nice output you need to pick an SD format that is also progressive. http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=94235 Austin Meyers May 19th, 2007, 10:08 PM are you outputting to dvd? if so you're in luck as it supports 24p m2v's and you can get more on a disc as the filesizes shrink accordingly, the stuff i've tested making 24p dvds looks really good Glenn Gipson May 20th, 2007, 04:20 AM are you outputting to dvd? if so you're in luck as it supports 24p m2v's and you can get more on a disc as the filesizes shrink accordingly, the stuff i've tested making 24p dvds looks really good Yes, but the reason why I want to downrez is because I don't really have the cash to edit HDV. Povl H. Pedersen May 20th, 2007, 01:38 PM HDV can be edited with standard tools on standard machines. iMovie and Final Cut Express HD both do a good job for little money on modest hardware.
