It looks good. Hey I have a question. Does the XH-A1 shoot in 2.39:1 aspect ratio or is that an editing thing you did?

Nice shots. Personally I found the letterboxing to be a little extreme. I felt like I was looking through a slit.

I'll agree about the letterbox, not to keen on that, but the video was very nice. What settings did you use on the A1. I've also found that for PC monitor playback, it helps if you up the contrast slightly. When I view my vids on a HD LCD TV they seem fine, but on a monitor they always look a little flat, so bumping up the contrast seems to help if your saving your vids for PC playback and not tv.

Jerrod, I just added the bars in post. What can I say? I'm a sucker for 2.35:1 ..I think the problem with this video that has caused others to comment on the letter boxing, is the framing. Alot of the shots were not properly framed to use that ratio, so it makes the shots look "cut off" and such.

Mark. I just used the default settings on the camera. I was going to add magic bullet movie looks filter, which really made the colors punchy and more filmic, but it was going to take 8 hours to render. So, since I'm lazy, I just rendered raw.

John, the problem is that what you have done with the letterbox is not 2.35. You need to crop top and bottom 12.5% each for a total of 25%. What you have done is way more than that.
