Hello, I taped somthing on my GL2 in the "in camera 16:9" format, but I am having problems exporting it back on to my GL2 so that it is letterboxed instead of the streatched 4:3. I am using premiere 6.5
the end result I am looking for is to have my footage on a VHS tape so that it is letterboxed 16:9
what is the best way to do this?
thanks!

Have you checked the Help file? This was a problem in prior versions because of the PAR bug but was fixed in 6.5 and should work fine if you follow the procedure.

There should be a preset for the clip that keeps the aspect raito 16:9. RClick the clip and goto video then keep aspect ratio I think. Just off the top of my head.

Create a 4:3 (!!) project in premiere and import your 16:9 footage.
Now drag the footage in the timeline, right-click on it and select
Maintain Aspect Ratio. This will auto letterbox it. You can now
send it back to the camera in your usual way.
