Over at Steve's, they mentioned that Sanyo has big product launch campaign for 31st.

Sounds like a great wee camcorder, but the 3x Optical Zoom is a major turn off IMHO. I almost didn't get the HD1a because it only had a 10x Optical Zoom, but in reality, 10x is more than enough as it get ridiculously wobbly at any higher.

Although it's very cheap, but here in the UK it's around the same price as the HD1a and it seems to me the Sanyo is the better camera.

Sanyo are releasing a better HD camera with true 1080p and 10x zoom, sounds great.
