We've got a Z1 that appears to have developed a problem with the focus ring. It with focus as normal when in automatic mode with autofocus assist switched off, but the focus ring does no seem to operate when in manual mode or when in automatic mode with focus assist switched on.

A number flickers at 200 in the bottom left corner of the screen when you turn the focus ring but otherwise there is no activity. The infinity and quick autofocus push buttons still work in manual mode.

There are no other apparent faults. Removing and reattaching the power pack makes no difference.

I would be interested to know if anybody has come across this before. I am hoping there could be some obscure setting we have left on, or maybe some sort of hard software reset that might resolve it by removing a memory backup battery, or using a hidden key combination, or maybe even a firmware update?

Any advice gratefully received :)
