I am pretty new to the filming arena, my expertise lies in those nifty little disposable cameras you buy at wal-mart and then putting the pictures together and flipping through them so it looks like a movie, kind of. Ok, I'm dumb as a post when it comes to video stuff.
I have been looking at the Canon XL2 for about a year now and slobbering all over the place when I see one. I would really like to get one to some outdoor filming with dogs and all. I would like to hope that I could pick up the filming relatively easy but I get all kinds of confused when people start throwing out all the technical stuff.
Where could I look to start figuring out the terms and what they all mean. The 24p or i or 720/60 stuff. Just get the deer in the head lights look when I read about this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to be able to get into this type of thing.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
