Wow feedback already and the link hasn't been posted yet!
Now i'm worried you'll all be disapointed when you finally see it, like those crappy movies with cool titles and exciting posters then when you watch them there total rubbish hehe....

Links will be released by Dylan on Monday right? so you'll have to wait till then, i'm not sure on the rules about posting links before then.
But still the video is somewhere on the internet and if you happen to find it before then is not my fault right?

Wow--that was great! Loved the deadpan acting from the fellow with the striped shirt. You also did a fine job with your effects, plus I enjoyed the pace of this thriller. :)

I appreciate all the effort that went into this movie. Must be nice having access to so many zombies. Thanks for all the fun. I’ve watched it twice already and will go back for more. :)

World class opening titles and music! Did I see a lot of Andrew Kramer's ink spots and action movie essentials in the effects? He puts out some great stuff, and you made good use of it. (I used his stuff in my DVC7 entry). Lots of fun! That's one strong gun that can shoot the whole head off a zombie with one shot! :)

My main quibble with this flick is the use of the theme. I sensed that you decided to do a zombie movie before the theme came out, rather than coming up with the concept and writing the script afterwards. I can see the conversation now: "Oh crap, the theme is television!?!" "What do we do?" "Let's put the television in the road before the zombies come out!" "Yeah, that'll work!" :)

Nice film!

I agree with William, the titles are great, but it seemed like the TV was added just to have a TV... I still enjoyed the flick though, it was funny... and I like the ending...

High marks for graphics and efx. Not so much for use of theme. Fun to watch.

Really strong graphics. Not so strong story or tie in to theme. How were they telezombies? Did the TV control them?

But I'm jealous of your motion graphics intro, very nice.

I really enjoyed your film. Somehow it reminded me of many late nights, back in the 80's, watching the local programming run super cool B flicks.

It was great to see Rohan Chetty again (the guy from your film Erasure dvc3). Cool.

I'm not sure I agree completely with my fellow DVCers on what has been said on the theme deal. I thought you incorporated it nicely, especially at the end with - "Man they put some rubbish on TV these days." lol.

Your special effects were excellent! Can you use those in FCP or do you have to have Adobe After Effects to work with them?

Nice work, loved the ending as well.

Great opening, nice effects, etc...

The theme was a little weak on this one but the ending kind of made up for it. :)

Great music and killer 3D opening. Thought I was watching a DVD from Blockbuster! And that Scottish Brogue, the steering wheel on the European side! Oh man, I’m loving this already. (Oops! You could see your dash light) Great bullet hits! (After Effects?) Man I need to learn to use mine! Outstanding! They do put some rubbish on TV these days BUT NOT YOUR MOVIE! This one is just fabulous! Yeah, you did stretch the "tv" theme a bit but you know what, the end worked for me. I loved it.

PS - The music (especially the intro music) was perfect!!

A general rule in zombie flicks is that the car NEVER starts lol. I liked the special effects and the score was outstanding.

Nicely done Phillip!

I like the first one too! It made more since when he said "Lets see if it works this time" (Sorry, I can't remember word for word).

I take it thats an Airsoft that you used? Was it electric, gas,or spring (if it was an airsoft)?
I am always wondering what kind of airsoft I should get for movie props...

Best of luck!

I thought it was interesting dual use of the theme, sort of. Having the TV come on is guaranteed to get me to stand still for a moment wondering how that works. Then to wrap it at the end with it being ON the television was a decent idea.

Nice exploding head and gun shot to the head.

Overall: Not bad at all.

Thanks for the comments :)

Yes i used Andrew Kramer's "Action Movie Essentials" & "Riot Gear"
When i found out the theme was to be announced on Friday 13th i thought i'd have to do some horror or something then when the theme was "Television" first thing that came to mind was Remote Control & The Ring. but didn't write anything, then in the second week i thought maybe i'd do a sequal to Zombie Killer and make it it really bad tv movie, which i thought fit the theme, the tv on the road was originally there cause the zombies were gonna come out of the tv but decided not to do that. The title "Telezombies" is for zombie movie on tv, i dunno just sounded good.... sorta

Both Riot Gear & Action Movie Essentials are just video files and stills, so you can use them with any program you like

The gun belongs to a friend of mine, its spring loaded and shoots BB's but it doesn't work.

Really nice begining graphics with the titles. I think that you have a definate style of directing! Nice job.

I love the dynamic between the over the top girl and the laid back guy driving the car.

My favorite scene is the very end when the woman turns off the TV "rubbish"

It felt like a good start for a horror movie of some sorts :) Like the effects and of course that neat intro :)

As others have said, the opening is amazing. I thought you did tie in well to the tv theme on two levels, with the zombie, and very amusingly at the end. I am actually relieved to know you used some software help for the special effects because I couldn't imagine while I watched how you did some of that. Putting it all together, it came across totally professional. And the acting was great- a throwback to old movies many of us watched with the cautious girl/oblivious boy ending badly theme. Great job.

Hey Phillip!

Fun movie! I haven't seen many Zombie movies, but I watched it with a couple friends who have and they really enjoyed yours! Nice job with the theme...I liked how the TV in the road prompted them to stop which in turn prompted the Zombies to come out...lol clever trick on the part of the Zombies...also liked the bit at the end with the woman talking about the crap on TV...although your fllm was SOOO not crap! :)

Nicely done Phillip!

Awwww....I was going to ask you about the "I thought it would work this time" line, so it will make sense if I watch your first one. Is it on YouTube too?

Great job Phillip and COOL effects!!! (man, I miss Dr. Dimentos....)

If you had the end of the last "zombie" scene playing back on a TV, THEN have the TV switched off by 'mom,' I think your theme might've been presented better. But, this one worked fine for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Philip:

I have no shame and I am not too proud to beg: Can you send me an e-mail explaining your computer generated bullet hits? I have After Effects 7.0 and believe me, had I acquired the know how, the guy at the end of my movie would have been blown to smithereens. Robert Rodriguez used computer generated bullet hits in his "Once Upon A Time In Mexico" feature.

Haha, this is what he used. Very useful, I'd suggest touring the rest of their offerings.

These companies certainly level the playing field, huh? Ahhh, the digital age. Remember the old days when we needed special effects guys to rig bullet hits? My great grand pappy told me about that. :-)
