Hi! Is this mic the one they use for the PD150 or 170 compatible with the FX1 assuming that I have the Beachteck XLR Adapter? Do you think this will work?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Is this mic the one they use for the PD150 or 170 compatible with the FX1 assuming that I have the Beachteck XLR Adapter? Do you think this will work? Thank you. Boyd Ostroff May 1st, 2007, 02:05 PM It should work as long as your Beachtek box provides phantom power. I have used this mike on my Z1 with the built-in XLR's and it worked fine. Rickey Brillantes May 1st, 2007, 02:10 PM Thanks Boyd, the Beachteck im using was designed for the FX1, and it requires a 9 volt battery to use it...is that the phantom power your refering to? Boyd Ostroff May 1st, 2007, 02:18 PM Probably, but look at the specs on their website here to be sure: http://www.beachtek.com/prod.html Rickey Brillantes May 1st, 2007, 03:08 PM Thanks for the link, I have the DXA-FX and it did'nt mention anything about phantom power. Boyd Ostroff May 1st, 2007, 05:31 PM Unfortunately it appears that this adaptor won't do it for you. The NV1 requires phantom power. According to the manual posted online: This adapter is designed to easily attach balanced or unbalanced type microphones to this camcorder (condenser type microphones require their own power as the adapter does not supply phantom power) |
