Can you use IDX V lock batteries on the HD200 battery plate? since JVC has a relationship with IDX with their promotions etc common sense says that you should be able to use your IDX Batts if you upgrade to the 200....or am I wrong?

I believe the "E" European models of the HD200 and HD250 ship with the IDX mount already installed. The recommended batteries are Endura-7.
"U" North American models ship with Anton Bauer gold mount.

Also, I was told by JVC at a show that the battery plate can be changed from one version to the other if you already have batteries. However, I don't know where or how to get the plate you don't have. Perhaps Carl Hicks will contribute info on this.

The plates are interchangeable on the 200 series cameras.
US version came with AB, I purchased the IDX kit, which comes with an IDX plate (also available individually). The swap takes just 5 minutes. The cameras are designed for pro battery use, so the mounting plate is a compact flat screw on mount.
