HI All,
I like to know and get you input as what you guys think of XHG1 for studio broadcasting? we are thinking of getting 5 of them for our studios and 4 XHA1 for ENG.
Thanks
Matthew

I remember seeing an article about a studio using the XL-H1 for studio use. I will try and find it. I cannot see why the G1's Non-Removable lens would hinder you if they can make the XL-H1 work.

They should work fine. I'd go for the XL-H1 if you can afford it, proper shoulder-mounted camera work has been pretty important in most of the studio work I've done (plus the XL-H1 looks so cool!)

I don't think you're going to see much hand held work in a TV studio. No reason why the G1 shouldn't be excellent. But for ENG work in the field, shoulder mounts for the XH A1 might be a good thing.

I've worked in news for 20 years. I just bought one of these and I think you would be better off with a shoulder cam. The whole small camera handheld thing is hard on the wrist and hard to keep steady.
If you do go with these get good monopods and light tripods. Encourage tripod use except when not practicle.
