Aloha!

I have a new project that I am to edit that involves footage from all over the world sent to me on DVDs. I am supposed to edit them into a montage that will be shown on a giant projector at a convention.

So far I have been opening the DVD's in MPEG streamclip and exporting them to Quicktime files. Can anyone recommend what Frame Size to use and which Compressor? Basicallly (what sequence settings should I use for best results)

you may as well use DV, or DVCPro50 if you prefer

if the source is from DVD Video then you're already working with highly compressed SD footage so it would be pointless transcoding it to anything bigger the SD or anything better than DV

i'd recommend DVCPro50, 720x576 if its PAL (the frames size should be auto selected when you choose the compressor)
